Today, Team Paleo tried their hand at something new. Using surveying equipment, the Team and the experienced archaeologists at Dickson Mounds marked off a potential dig site. First the area is measured out and marked with orange stakes every 30 meters. Later on, remote sensing equipment will be used to determine if there is anything good down there to dig up.
